This add-on transforms images into 3D triangulated models, making it perfect for designers, game developers, and anyone needing quick, low-poly assets. Ideal for prototyping, mobile games, or LOD 2/3 distant objects in high-quality scenes. ⚡

📌 Requirements

This add-on uses Trellis (Microsoft AI conversation format) and connects to the PiAPI API for model generation. 🖥️ To use this add-on you will need to have an API key from PiAPI as to generate models.

PiAPI offers various pricing plans, including a free tier allowing 5 models per month. Model generation costs $0.04 per model at launch. Prices and allowances may change and I am not affiliated with this company in any way so have no control over pricing, plans or other services they offer.

🔗 Dependencies

The add-on requires the Python module Pillow 📦, which has been integrated for easy installation on add-on install. Pillow ensures images larger than 1024x1024 are resized correctly to prevent API errors as this is the max sized image allowed with Trellis to generate models.

⚡ Performance, Speed & Quality

Model generation time varies based on the PiAPI plan:

• 🆓 Free Plan: between 1.5 - 3 minutes per model.
• 💨 Paid Plans: Faster generation times depending on the tier.
•  Quality: Models generated vary as AI is creating these from a 2D image and are not high quality assets (remember models cost $0.04 to generate and the technology will evolve over time to increase the model creation quaility)

• Added into the Add-on is all the setting currently available to pass to the model generator, these should allow for changing the created model
